Welcome to Miami, Megaport! We’ve just enabled two data centres which means users can now provision rapid, reliable, and secure elastic connections from Florida and beyond.
With growing status in international trade and technology, Miami has become an access point to Latin America for regional enterprises. Our new points of presence in this region give businesses with their IT infrastructure based in Florida better access to global service providers in order to tap into this growth. When customers join the Megaport Ecosystem, they can leverage the resources of world-leading Cloud Service Providers across our network, including recent additions: Oracle and Alibaba.
We’re excited to be the first Microsoft Partner to offer Azure ExpressRoute within Miami; our ninth ExpressRoute location within the North American region and 16th worldwide. Megaport customers from around the world can benefit from a deepening global footprint; bringing on these additional locations means a richer and more comprehensive connection to this region. Enterprises can now also incorporate ExpressRoute into their multicloud strategy from a Megaport-enabled data centre.
We’ve entered the Miami market as more advanced software infrastructure is needed to meet the demands of economic growth in the region. So far, the additional Megaport-enabled data centres include Equinix’s MI1 Miami IBX and Digital Realty’s MIA1; both are scalable colocation and interconnection environments. As the North American network extends, Megaport will soon incorporate a third Miami data centre.
We will continue to work with our Cloud Partners to eliminate network bottlenecks and bring enterprises closer to the cloud. If you want to know more about Megaport in Miami, please fill out the form below:
