Megaport and HKT Enable Hong Kong with Greater Cloud Access
HKT has launched a new cloud connectivity service for its customers in Hong Kong: HKT SkyExchange Multi-Cloud FAST Connect.
Powered by Megaport, this new feature gives SkyExchange customers direct access to our network of leading cloud service providers from HKT’s networked facilities management centers in Hong Kong, Kowloon, and the New Territories. This development reinforces Hong Kong’s trending increase in cloud adoption and is in line with the growth and stimulation of the region’s cloud market. Agility is key to cloud connectivity within the Asia-Pacific with the need for superior performance to link with national and international locations.
The inclusion of HKT SkyExchange Multi-Cloud FAST Connect in our global ecosystem enables HKT’s customers to take advantage of cloud connectivity with flexible and scalable provisioning. Getting to the cloud is now easier with HKT SkyExchange Multi-Cloud FAST Connect providing both secure and dedicated infrastructure, and Megaport’s hybrid cloud (public and private) and multicloud capabilities.
“With a growing demand for cloud connectivity in Hong Kong, Megaport is a perfect enabler of interconnection to cloud service providers, offering agile and flexible options to optimise customers’ cloud adoption,” – Mr. Larry Wong, Head of China Commercial & CPE Business, Commercial Group, HKT Limited
Our collaboration with HKT furthers the Megaport network within the Asia-Pacific region. We have increased service availability in Hong Kong from four to nine locations, giving end users greater choice in cloud access from this region to anywhere else in the world. We are excited to be aligned with such an influential company.
