Elastic Interconnectivity in Eastern Europe with Sofia Connect

Sofia Connect Partners With Megaport

Today we announced our strategic partnership with Sofia Connect, a leading wholesale carrier with headquarters in Bulgaria that acts as a gateway provider, linking carriers from the Balkans, Caucasus region, and the Middle East to Western Internet hubs. Through this partnership, Sofia Connect will be able to sell our industry leading Software Defined Network (SDN) services throughout their extensive customer base across Eastern Europe.

By pairing Sofia Connect’s deep footprint with our SDN and cloud onramp capabilities, we are able to provide Sofia connect customers with direct, instant, scalable access to our global ecosystem of over 200 service providers, including major cloud services such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform as well as connectivity to leading IX service providers.

Following our deep push into Europe in the last six months, we are happy to continue investing in this complex and dynamic region. We’ve talked extensively on the topic and can read more of our thoughts on that expansion below:
