Really, it should say ‘Bonjour, nous sommes OVHcloud’, but we have long outgrown our French roots. Established in 1999 in Roubaix, France, OVHcloud quickly joined the elite group of global hyperscalers and is now the largest European cloud provider, operating 400,000 servers within our 31 data centres across four continents.

Our service offering has grown too, and is now an integrated model that provides full control of the value chain for our customers. We design our own custom servers, manage our own data centres, and orchestrate our dedicated fibre-optic network. This approach enables OVHcloud to independently cover the full spectrum of use cases for our 1.5 million customers in more than 130 countries. Today, OVHcloud offers the latest-generation solutions that combine high performance, predictable pricing, and full data sovereignty to support our customers’ continued growth.

The latest IDC MarketScape report (September, 2020) profiled OVHcloud. We were selected from eight companies operating on the public cloud market, and we are the only European company in the report. OVHcloud has also been recognised as a leader in the European Hosted Private Cloud market according to the latest Forrester report on Hosted Private Cloud Services In Europe, Q2 2020 .

Our Partnership With Megaport

Joining the Megaport ecosystem marks an exciting step in our development. Megaport brings performance, security, economy, ease-of-use, and fast provisioning, and OVHcloud offers cost-transparency, data reversibility, and data sovereignty. Our collaboration with Megaport goes back to 2018, and gave us the solid foundation to enhance our interconnect solution, OVHcloud Connect . We are glad to announce that this now allows us to interconnect OVHcloud with more than 700 enabled Megaport locations.

We’re starting off in London, Frankfurt, and Paris, but this is only the beginning. We will expand our worldwide reach by activating American and Asian Megaport locations in the near future.

Our partnership with Megaport gives our mutual customers a new European interconnection choice that combines the benefits of both companies into a complete cloud and networking ecosystem. This powerful alliance will enable companies to overcome the challenges of implementing multicloud, and successfully build the best-tailored multicloud solution for their needs.
